My new 4110 is coming Tues. I am looking at Five Point by King Kutter equipment at a farm supply store. My tractor will have industrial tires. Will I be better off with the 4 or 5 foot box blade. I am also going to buy a tiller. King Kutter has a 4 footer weighing 600 lbs. requiring 20-35 hp according to the brochure and a 5' weighing 690lbs requiring 25-40 hp. My pto hp is 17, I believe. Are these minimum or maximum hp requirements? Is the King Kutter equipment a good quality brand? They look as good as the other brands I have looked at. Any help will be appreciated. By the way, the 4' box is $279 and the 4' tiller $1195.

Hello Danboy,

Congrats on the new 4110! I'm sure you will love that machine /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I don't have a box blade yet but I can comment on the tiller. When I made the deal with my dealer for my 4110, he had included a 51" tiller. When he delivered the tractor he brought a 60" Buhler Farm King tiller at no extra cost because that's what he had in the yard! That tiller is so heavy that I have a hard time even lifting one end! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif When I saw the tiller at first I was a little puzzled. The dealer told me that the 4110 could handle it just fine so I trusted him! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif The Buhler Farm King is also rated for a 25HP tractor.
Anyway I did some tilling last summer and I was just amazed how smooth the combination 4110 and 60" tiller worked. I did get a slip clutch with the tiller and I really think it's a good thing. I still have some ajustement to make to the slip clutch but I'm glad I got it!
The only bad thing if foud is that the size of my garden and the access to the garden really makes it hard to efficiently work with the 4110 and that tiller. I will try to make a biger garden this year and have two opposite ends of the garden accessible so that I can get in one way and get out the other way so that I don't have to turn in the middle of the garden /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Other than that the 5' tiller works fine with the 4110!

The 5 ft box sounds about right and price is in line. The 48 inch is probably about the best match to the tractor--Be sure that you purchase a rototiller with 6 tines per rotor and that the tines are mounted on a scroll pattern and in addition I would suggest a slip clutch, parking jackstand and offset capabilities-- This configuration is usually not available on the low end machines found at TSC and is standard on most higher quality, Howard, Landpride,First Choice, etc machines--Our price on the First Choice 48 inch is under 1100 assembled and lubricated + shipping--Just shop carefully--Ken Sweet

If you got a Mill's Fleet Farm or TSC in the area you might want to check them for prices. They also carry KK and I think you can beat those prices there.

If you use the iMatch, make sure the box blade and tiller will mount properly. The original box blade delivered with my tractor was not a Frontier and wouldn't work with the iMatch, so I returned the original and bought the Frontier. Now I will only buy Frontier, unless the price difference is so great, because I know it will work correctly. Just something to think about. Sorry if this has already been beat to death, but I haven't been on the forum for quite a while.

Dan,

I think you'll really like your 4110. I know I am really pleased with mine. I would suggest the 4' box blade. Thats what I have and depending on your soil, your tractor will handle it easily. I also have I-Match and unless you buy JD or Frontier equip. it probably won't fit with out mods. I know everything I have bought didn't fit. NOthing a torch and welder won't fix. Good luck and keep us posted
