Ok, been lurking around since my last post on my tractor aqusition<sp>.
Since it's cooled off some here, I've had more time to go through the beast.
After repairing one leak in the power steering cylinder, seems I've got another one, on the control valve end, man, seals for these cylinders at the local NH dealer are outrageous!
Anyway, a different steering issue has me puzzled, in the photo, you see underneath the front end where the axle connect to the body, where the shiny screw is sticking out is a 1 1/4" hole about 4" deep. When I turn the steering wheel or the tractor bounces up and down, this section moves around and is real loose.
There are no threads in this big hole, so, I don't know what or if something does go in there.
I tried and the only thing I could find that I had that fit, was a 3/4" black pipe coupling, but I only had one of this particular brand.
That's the first of many up coming little issues with my new (34 yrs old)
toy.
Thanks
