I own a XJ2025 with a FEL and LB 1104 Backhoe. My question is this? Has anyone with a LS installed rear wheel spacers on their tractors for stability? If so, how thick? I know Bora spacers are available from 1-1/2" to 4" wide. I'd also like to know if the use of wheel spacers has caused any problems (especially structural, leaks at joints axle seals) that you've noticed? I'd like to go to the 4" spacers, giving me an extra 8" of operational width.

I do not use a belly mower, so no operational problems should arise because of adding rear spacers? But, I could be wrong and overlook something is why I'm asking those with experience, who have installed spacers on their tractors. My main reason for adding spacers on the rear is stability! However, I am a wee bit concerned with the weight the added LB1104 backhoe, and extending the rear wheel width may put on the rear axle, seals and components.

Any ideas would be of tremendous value and help.

Thanks in advance,

Silverstreek,

I installed 1-5/8 inch spacers on a Kubota. I did not notice any stability issues either way, but they did make it better for tire chain clearance. Kubota is very clear in their correspondence that spacers should not be used if a backhoe is used. Ask that specific question from your LS dealer to see if there are any caveats.

I have a 2023H and I added the Bora 2" wheel spacers. It made a big difference in the stability of the tractor, but you still need weight on the back of the tractor.

I found they don't help that much. Help some.. Sure. Better results just loading the tires. IMO. Saves $ for more 3pt equipment too.

Ps... That being said, I'm glad I have them than not. Every little bit helps and could just make the difference of wheels on the ground or up in the air.
