Need information on YM 2420

Just bought a YM 2420 and any info would be appreciated. Is it close to the YM 276? How easy is it to get parts? Seems like a nice tractor. Does anyone have one? Reliable? Good source for parts and manual? I gave $4300 for a clean (not repainted) unit with 849 hours. Good price or not. I live in Tn and will use it on 30 level acres. Good choice or not? Thanks in advance for any info.

Sounds like a good price to me. If it is a 4WD it is a real good price. The 20 series Yanmars are really nice and you will like the power shift transmission. I had a 2620D a while back.

Not a 4x4. I wanted one but opted for more hp for the money since my farm is river bottom with no hills. Thanks.

I have a 2310 which is a floor mounted powershift. Your 2420 has the powershift mounted on the steering colomun. I think the motors are the same 3T84, I looked at a 2420 last year because it seemed so close to my 2310. They are almost identical to the 276. I have a maintainence manual and the major components match. I replaced the headgasket and the book was the same as my machine. The 276 maintainence manual is the book that you probably would use.

I have a parts manual for the YM2420 and the YM276. Most of the parts have the same part numbers. There are a few body and air cleaner differences. The YM2310 is actually a closer match yet.
