Need Kubota Hydraulic hose SAE rating

I had a Kubota dealer install a thumb on my front end loader and they used SAE100 R17 hoses. Within 1 minute the end blew off a hose and I brought it back and they made me a new hose. On the first try the end blew off again.

I thought that maybe they weren't crimping them properly so I went to the main NAPA store where they make hoses to see if they could put an end on it to save me a 150 mile round trip to the dealer.

They said the fault was that this hose was not heavy duty enough and they need to use a better hose like is on the factory Kubota and that this hose would hold the ends on better. They quoted me $142 to make one hose but if this is the problem then I would need to replace all 4 hoses that the Kubota dealer installed.

I called the dealer back and they said they always use this replacement hose on their Kubotas and that they probably didn't crimp it well enough again. So I must make another 150 mile trip to get it done and try it a third time. But I want to know the SAE rating on the hoses that come from the factory on an L4400 Kubota with the front end loader to see if it is a higher rated hose than the one they are using.

SAE info and advice are highly desired.

The R17 hose has a rating of 3000psi and a bursting psi rating of 12000. Your dealer is doing something WRONG. Don't drive to get the hose either, just have them mail it to you in a flat rate box. Cheap and fast.

The R17 hose has a smaller OD compared to the same size R2 hose. Sounds like they are crimping to R2 specs, not R17 specs.

G'day also check to make sure the hose is not getting tight or binding through all of it's operation.

ask for R2 hose, it will handle physical abuse and pulse better
