Two tractors..both Mitsubishi. MT160D 4WD with a Brush Cutter. The other is a MT1601 4WD with a loader
I just bought a tractor with an Allied Loader #95. Works great but the only problem is that it didn't come with the loader lift locks that was made for this loader. These to be used to raise the loader high enough to work on the tractor engine without have it drop on your head. I contacted Allied (Canada)..and they sent me a drawing that I could use to make one or have one made. Does anyone know of any generic lift locks that would work??? The lock has to be a steel channel 14 inches long with inside Dims. of 1.5 inches and notched at the end to fit over the bottom cylinder shaft. Jer in CA

Why don't you buy a couple of pieces of channel iron at the scrap yard that fit over the cylinder rod. Hold them onto the rod with hose clamps securely so they don't fall off. Their purpose is to keep the cylinder from closing so there should be no force pushing them away from the rod anyway. That should work. You could do the same thing with 1/2 round pipe (slit pipe lengthways) or use 2 slit pieces clamped around the rod if it makes you feel better.

I see tractors at various shows using angle iron when the loader is displayed in the full up position.
