Box Scraper Need medium duty box blade..brands?

I am in the middle Tn area and I need a 5.5 TO 6' box blade. I am curious who makes the best one for the money. I had a Bush Hog before, very heavy duty, really more than I needed but I am really price shopping. TSC has the KK line but I have seen better deals in the past in comparison. Used works also.

I looked at it. I am just as interested in price as I am in features seeing that I only use one a couple of times a year. I found a 6ft locally at Highland Rim tractor for $329.00, I am going to go next Wednesday and take a look.

Your LK3054 may be too much tractor for a "cheap" box blade, but you know your soil and needs. Jay

All I need it for is to spread gravel on my driveway and act as a counterweight for the loader. I know, it is probably too light for a loader counterweight but I can add weight to the box blade. I have a 3 machinists in my family so steel is not a problem. I am going to look at construction though and if it is really junky I will pay the extra and get something a little better. But I must say Highland Rim sells Massey and Mahindra so I do not imagine that they will be too junky.

I live in S. Illinois and imagine our soil is pretty similar-hard clay. I got a 5 foot box blade with my tractor and is easily handled with my 24HP tractor, In FWD I can pull 4 scarifiers all the way down through all but the hardest pack. Even my tractor has beat it up pretty bad, I have had the welder out more than a few times patching it up after 4 yrs use. I recommend that if it is something you are going to use very much through the years to get one that has a beefy A frame and captive pins.

For some reason, having captive pins seems to be a sign of higher quality. It is also way easier to hook up to a std 3pt, sorry don't know about i-match.
