Need recommendations for food vacuum sealer

Update, since Eddie asked and I said I would:laughing:

Received the sealer a day early. My wife has been at it, repackaging all the veggies she has blanched so far from the garden. She also is using the Italian made 4ml bags we also ordered (ore-cut, sealed on one end) She is moving a a pretty good clip using the automatic feature, so far, averaging 30 secs a bag.

It is not near as loud as I thought it would be, but not silent. It is just crazy to watch it suck the life out of the bags. Has the 2 year warranty label and the 5 year service contract (included ) AND Totaly repairable, should last a lifetime, which adds allot of value IMO.

OMG! Looks like my cabinet last year!

What if most of what I would seal are wet foods like beans, spaghetti sauce, gumbo and the like? I like to make huge pots of food and then freeze them already portioned out. I see they have Tupperware type containers now to vacuum seal but it would cost a fortune to buy as many as I would need.

Would I be able to use the rolls of plastic?

We usually use the freezer bags for things like that. Here again, if I wanted to vacuum seal them, I would freeze them first...probably in a freezer bag...and then vacuum seal.

Thank you! So portion them in a ziplock type freezer bag, freeze then cut off ziplock then vacuum seal using the roll?

All we do is activate the sealer function once all of the air is removed and before fluid is drawn out, works fine.

If leave in the ziplock then the vac seal

I do that with items that will be accessed repeatedly after opening like cheese, sliced meat, etc.

That's what I do. Although I've frozen some things just on a cookie sheet, then vacuum sealed them without using a separate freezer bad. Once frozen, you don't have to worry about liquid.
