Here is a link to some information on the American Solutions grapples designed for the BX series tractors. There are other threads about this, and it might be worth a search.

Grapple - BXTractors.info: The Kubota BX Wiki

Edit: Oops, I missed the page where you decided on a B2620 like mine! I think you will be happy with your choice, and I suspect that a small grapple like the one I provided the link to could still be made to work just fine. Nice to hear about the quick detach option too as I would like forks, or trash forks sometime soon.

CHUCKINNH: If your referring to my post concerning forks, the forks I ended up getting for the B3200 just fit over the bucket. The QA (skid steer) forks won't fit the B's. There may be some company that makes forks for the B with the bucket removed but that's not what I have. The forks I have for the B are in the bucket with their tie chains and lock downs.

I was referring to the Kubota pin on quick hitch that only takes their attachments. They have pin on forks that fit that, and hopefully would fit that quick hitch on the smaller B2x20 series. Thanks for the pictures of yours though since that is another very viable option for me.

JohnThomas,

Can you elaborate on the forks you have - it appears the ones you have attatch to the bucket via a tie-down screw as well as supported by a chain that wraps around the bucket from the back?...

I am looking for a easy way to put on forks "without" taking off my bucket and like the way a simple tie-down can be installed but am concern that under a heavy load the bucket edge will be damaged.

My main application will be in winter where I want to keep the bucket on all the time and maybe once a week throw on the forks to lift and carry back to the house pallets full of wood for the fireplace.

I think the Pane Forks was what I was going to go with.

Paynes Forks Light-Duty 1200-Lb. Capacity Forks Kubota Orange, Model# PFO800 | Accessories | Northern Tool + Equipment

Paynes Forks Medium-Duty 2400-Lb. Capacity Forks | Accessories | Northern Tool + Equipment

Any input on the ones Brady sold you would be greatly apprecaited.

I haven't used them yet and when I do it won't be for real heavy stuff. Maybe 200 to 300 lbs at most. They slide over bottom of bucket then the attached chain comes around behind bucket and hooks to the top of the bucket, best I could tell. They each have a stand alone loose ratching handle with hooks at each end to draw chain tight. No bolts. Believe Barlows or any Kubota dealer could tell you lift capacity when attached to the bucket. I'll take more pictures if you want. Let me know.

you can certainly put Skidsteer QA on the B3030 - I have it, Messicks put it on before delivery, though ATI makes it. Been very pleased with it, can't imagine life without it.

I can change from bucket to forks in around a minute. Including getting in and out of seat.

Messicks posts a lot on here (Neil Messick) central PA - I've bought 2 tractors from them and had them shipped out of state, happy with both service and prices.

How do you get the bucket off the loader to install the QA? I see the pins have bolts thru them, do you just remove those bolts and take those pins out? How tight are they?

I ordered a QA and 60" bucket and thought about having the dealer install but i cant imagine its that hard

To install the QA just remove those bolts you see through the pins, and tap the pins out with a hammer, and punch. Mine came out fairly easily. The only caution I can think of is to get the two greasable pins in the right locations when installing th QA. ( look before you take the original ones out)
