Need some help identifying my engine

Great, now tell me how to find the (main chassis) serial number on this thing. The lower cowling is missing, and I see nothing stamped inside the battery compartment.

Unfortunately the missing lower dash panel is where the ID plates are on
these tractors (see pic), did you check the bottom of the oil pan for a casting
date (mine dosen't have one though),also may possibly have a casting date on side of tranny forward of the side cover plate, if you could find one it would put you within a 6month timeframe.

I forgot to check the bottom for a casting date. I'll have a look next time I'm over at the property.
