Hey guys thanks in advanced, here is my issue.

My temp gauge sits at zero. I have replaced the temp sender with a new one and it didn't resolve the issue. If I ground out the white wire with a black stripe the gauge goes to max hot.

When I reverse the white wire with black with the white wire with red the gauge will go to operating Temp and just stay there. When it's wired this way I can heat the sensor up and the gauge will go up and then cool back down to operating Temp but it stays there even after cooling down.

The white wire with back shows roughly 10 volts and the white with red shows 5 volts.

When I take the black ground wire off and touch it to the white wire with black it makes the gauge go max hot as well. So I am assuming the ground is working?

I hope this makes sense. I am leaning towards some kind of computer issue but have no clue. IMG_20191120_185023.jpgIMG_20191120_185011.jpgIMG_20191120_184858.jpg

Do you by chance have a schematic diagram of the electrical system? Indiscriminately shorting wires can burn stuff out. I don't know if your tractor even has a computer, nor do I know how your gauge is wired. Does the sender connect directly to the gauge or do the leads go to a "black box"? Check to make sure your battery ground cable actually has good contact with ground. A good ground reference is essential for electronics to work properly. You have measured voltages going to two wires. Do these voltages change depending on whether the engine is cold or warm? If they don't change your meter is not getting the proper signal - assuming they connect to the meter. I know, I'm not much help. On the other hand I've never worked on a Bobcat.

It looks like it goes directly to the gauge. After it goes towards the firewall I lose it. I will pull the dash apart and see if i can trace them.

I haven't worked on one either! I'll take any brain storming I can get!.Screenshot_20191122-213413.jpg

That picture turned out terrible. I will add a better one tomorrow.

If you're taking a picture with your phone it may not get much better. I usually take pictures with my camera or scan pages into my scanner then export them.

After looking at these drawings. I am curious now if the black/red wire from the gauge itself is loose or broken. Would that make sense? If that ground wasn't working then the gauge would just sit at zero right?.

Just for starters, I would want to know why three leads to the sender.

No idea why

I'm thoroughly confused. Is a CT122 the same as a CK 20 or do they both just happen to use the same color wires and have the same problems?

Ct122 is a rebranded ck20
