Hi everyone, this is actually my first post and I'm hoping to find a little advice.
I have a 1975 Massey 285 and I'm in the middle of replacing the center steering shaft (part #532219M92) and bushings (part #194624M1).
I first "dry fit" the new shaft to make sure everything looked right; and it did. I tapped in the new bushings and went to install the shaft but it absolutely will not fit through the bushings. I even went through the trouble of putting an angle finder on the tractor and shaft to make sure everything is lined up correctly and then put a bottle jack under the shaft and it picked up the whole front of the tractor instead of pressing the shaft in. I've checked and double checked that I ordered and received the correct shaft and bushings and everything seems correct.
Any suggestions on what I can do?
