Need some help

I am looking at buying a 2004 2210 with 54" mmm and a loader with 262hrs or one of two 2007 2305s with either a 54" or 62" mmm, both with 300hrs. I had read somewhere that at some point, the 2210 was upgraded to a larger transmission due to broken pto issues. Is this true and at what point did they upgrade. Also, is there any issues with the 2007 2305s that I should be aware of? As far as turfs vs. R4 tires, which would be better for mowing a yard on slopes up to 20 degrees or is there even a difference? I have ran searches and found days worth of reading but it is hard to single out the info I am looking for. Thanks for any help.

Turf tires should be fine for that.

The 2305 has had some problems with the MMM lift and height control, you can do a "search" to find them. Ours also clogs the radiator pretty quickly and over heats.

There are several reviews on this model and most owners like them, I don't.

There where some trans/pto issues on early 2210 tractors. Some internal changes at 316958 related to the pto clutch, other chnages as well but no s/n info just p/n subs. Both where good tractors for the most part, the failures that I saw where definatly commercial use applications opposed to residential use; ie mowing, some tiller work, etc etc did not seem to suffer the same fate. This is not set in stone I am sure there where failures not at all related to commercial duty working. Be sure to get a quote for a new 2305 before getting too carried away there is lots of 2305 inventory on the ground and Deere will pay to have them shipped anywhere in US and does not take long at all.
