Still having problems with the loader on my YM155D. Changed hydraulics oil and cleaned filter, didn't help. The symptoms were slow and jerky action on loader. Then weather got colder (-20C) and it was almost impossible to move the loader up enough to use the tractor ploughing snow with rear blade. I thought water in lines perhaps froze restricting flow, but now weather has warmed to +1C and symptoms still the same....loader moves very slowly, won't lift with any snow in bucket. Even when empty, it seems to bounce up and down as I go, almost as if there is an air cushion in the cylinders. The 3point hitch on the other hand seems to be working fine, a blessing since we have a lot of snow.

Any ideas? Is there any adjustment somewhere that is bypassing pressure to the loader?
hope someone out there can help
thanks
Frank

If 3 pt is working fine. I would look at the loader valve for the problem

I had the same problems on my 155d a couple years back with it's factory front blade, only not quite as bad. Swapping out the valve spool made a huge difference in not only power, but also speed.

I am a complete novice when it comes to tractors. Can you tell me where I can find the valve spool?
thanks

The valve spool we are talking about, is what your FEL handles are mounted on. It's a box that has lots of hoses running in and out of it, as well as the handles you use to move your FEL.

I just solved my hydraulic trouble and it may help you. This problem developed over a 3 week period. We had tried changes the hydr. Fluid several times but that didn稚 help. The issue I had was the loader would lift very very slow but it could lift a load. In other words it kept the pressure. my 3 pt. worked but loader didnt. the 3 pt has a very small cylinder compared to the loader. I had a build up of gunk by the hydr. return line. It was restricting the flow of fluid. The pump just wasn稚 getting any fluid from the reservoir under the seat. It was enough for the 3 pt because it didn稚 require as much volume as the loader The remedy was to take apart the housing under the seat to get to the bottom and clean it out. Hope this helps.

I would suspect that you have air in your system. Bouncing on an air cushion is not normal if the system is purged of air.
