Ugh, stupid mower.

I got home last night and hooked up a voltmeter, turned the key to "on". and the dang pump fired right up. I put the wheels back on and mowed about 3/4 of the lawn.

Then the temp started climbing up kinda high like it does in high temps so I turned it off and let it sit while I used the weedeater. I went to start the mower back up and it wouldnt start...again. The pump is working fine now. I think I tried to crank it over for too long and the starter got really hot or the battery is low.

I going to try it again this afternoon and if it doesnt work im taking the dang thing to the kubota dealer and handing them my credit card.

I'm a do-it-yourself kind of guy....up to a point. But sometimes there is no better feeling than handing some problem off to someone else, even when you know it is going to hurt your wallet.

I have a Kubota G6200, had a simular problem years ago and it was just a bad connection to the key switch. Disconnect the power and onscrew the switch. Clean all the wire connectors. Spray WD on everthing and into the switch, move the key back and forth a few times. Put everthing back together and give it a try.
Worked for me, hope it works for you.

FINALLY! its running. Turns out the positive cable going to the starter had a plastic quick connector that had melted a bit. I think the starter wasnt getting enough juice because of it.

Of course I still have no explanation why the fuel pump died for just 3 days. Im sure theres a bad cable going to it somewhere.

There is a fuse in the circuit to the fuel pump, it's under the dash on the right side as you set on the seat if I remember correctly. I don't remember if the panel under the dash comes off or if I had to lift the battery out and get to it that way. I had an early '84 G5200 and sold it to my son when I got my BX2200, the old G is still going strong, and if I get a chance, I'll buy it back.
