Need someone familar with skid steer brush cutters. CID or similar.

rented Xteme 72 model and it bogs down even in grass and wont maintain blade tip speed. Salesman said it was standard flow and that my 75hp cat 252B would handle it fine. I have 22GPM. It does have the direct drive piston motor but no case drain. Could there be some sort of flow control valve? NEED HELP!!!!

Both CID's high and low flow xtreme models require a case drain. Their HD model (with the gearbox) does not.

I thought so too but it appears that the Cat rental store has installed a in line flow control manifold and done away with case drain.....although when I research the Permco pump it is a 197 model and only rated to 20Gpm. (I believe). Going to back off the flow and return valves on manifold to see if it helps..

Even in pasture type grass it boggs down like starving for flow...what do you think?

Just be sure the case drain hose is either there or has been removed
by checking the mounting flange of the hydraulic motor for a no. 4
hydraulic hose.
