I'm feeling a little tipsy (and not in a good way). These side hills are scary. Glad I didn't go with a B Model! Can anyone make a recommendation for spacers on the rear wheels on my new BX2660? I'm guessing 2 inches (or more) on each side would make a big difference. I'm also going to bum my Pop's rear blade for ballast, especially when the front end loader is attached.
I'm pretty handy so I assume a "spacer job" is pretty plug and play? Thanks!

We are on our second BX, first a 2200 and now a 2660. My wife now does all of the mowing since she retired and it took her a while to get comfortable mowing on slopes, but in stock form they are very stable. Over the years I have mowed many steep slopes on our farms without incident. It took me a while to get comfortable though.

To your original point though, there have been a couple who have put spacers on and they are pretty simple bolt on items. Depending on model and deck, some have reported interference with the deck wheels.

Here is just one of several previous posts: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-owning-operating/123374-bx24-wheel-spacers-caution.html

I also had concerns last year with my BX2660 due to hilly terrain and bush work . I got a set from Brotek, I think it was $260 , very well machined parts , I am very pleased with results. Not only safer stance , but also easier to take on and off wheels because now you have studs to hang the rim from as you install. Also give way more room for chains and easier to powerwash mud from axle area

Thanks. I'm also looking at these The Tracks Co. A little cheaper and it looks like I could go wider. I'd probably order 2.5 inchers. The machined Bro-teks look better built without the welds though.

Keep in mind that the narrower MMM won't work with the rear spacers.

No MMM in the plans; just a bush hog and snow plow. I'm out in the sticks on a sidehill---and I like it that way! :)

The best money you can spend on stability for your BX is definitely to load the rear tires. I did it on my 2660 about a month after I got it. Best thing I've done to the tractor for stability for all uses. Cheap too.
