Kubota B6100 LS R3039H
I have about six acres which I am getting ready to build a new home on. About 1acre of garden, a couple acres of woods & thicket, a blueberry field, and the rest open land. I currently have a 1979 Kubota B6100, but its just too small / light for my needs. I do most of my mowing with a XMark ZTR, but would like to clear a lot of undergrowth and brush. I also have about 800' of gravel drive to maintain.
I've considered both the Kubota B series, as well as the Mahindra. Went to a dealer and looked at the Mahindra 3016, but think it might be a bit big for what I need. He had the Max 22 & 25 available, but did not have a 28XL in stock, which appears to be sized between the Max and the 3016. My local Kubota dealer was not very helpful at all. He never answered my question of what the warranty is!.
Any suggestions, guidance is appreciated.

August of last year I unexpectedly move from Kubota L 3710 to a
Kioti DS 4110 HS. I've been well pleased with the new brand.

Kioti seem to have a good selection of tractors in your 20 to 30 HP range and would be worth a look.

Don't be afraid to travel a few hours to a dealer.

You may have a good option. I hadn't even thought about Kioti. I did ckeck their website after reading your post, and they do have some interesting products. I think my biggest dilemma at this point is determining just what will best fit my needs.
I only have about six acres to work, so I dont think I need a very big tractor. I do have some small trees and brush that I want to clear, and my little Kubota certainly can't handle that. I want to be able to do some landscape work, such as dirt moving /leveling, and driveway maintainence.

I suggest the Kioti CK35HST. The CK27/30/35 series is nice and small, yet powerful with great hydraulics and heavy in weight. Though the XL28 does seem to be nice. Just don't buy too small this time round. Others to consider: MF and deere, if your wallet can take it. Other than the bota grand L's and MF 1600 seriers, the Kioti CK series are the "best" overall tractor in this range right now, and by far the best value. However, a good or bad dealer makes all the difference between satisfaction and not.

I agree with Gittyup, you need to use a slightly larger machine to do the initial work. I would even suggest you rent something larger to handle the bulk of the smoothing and shaping then buy a 25 to 30 hp compact to keep.

Getting the ground and pastures real smooth would help with the mowing considerably. Would make running the zt mower much easier and faster in the future.
