I just replaced the rear brake lines on my 98 chevy blazer along with new calipers all the way around. The problem is when my line blew, the fluid was low and air got into the ABS block. I have trouble bleeding it and discovered through google that I need to have a ABS scan tool to help purge the air from ABS unit before I can bleed at calipers. I dont have a ABS scan tool, so what do I do? Do auto stores rent them? is there a secret trick on how to do it without one? I have only a obd2 reader to help me check for emission ready before inspection and troubleshooting. I thought that tool was the last one I need to buy.. :(

HELP! - I want to get this truck back on the road so I can start towing my trailers again.

The scan tool is to pulsate the abs valves and purge the air out of the block. I've done it without the scan tool by bleeding the brakes as normal then driving down a dirt road and hitting the brakes hard a couple of timed to cause the abs to activate. Bleed at the calipers again and repeat.
It's not the most ideal way of doing it and it's more time consuming but it worked...
