need to date a woods backhoe

just picked up a woods BH6500 groundbreaker 3pt hoe.. it has a data tag with some number on it.. I presume a sn.. etc.. but I see a space for 'year' or 'date ' ( CRS? ).. and it was blank.

can anyone tell me how to date this thing?

it may actually be the newest implement I own.. considering much of my stuff is 'classic' or' vintage', or just plain old.. like the 1955 ford 850 the hoe is currently hanging on...

:ashamed: I read your title and thought you were just getting a little lonely...:laughing: Seriously, the numbers are most likely a SN, try calling Woods and see if they could decode if no one can help here.

I don't have a woods dealer nearby.. i did email them and got no response yet.

thanks for replying though. i really need to put the readers on and see what number IS on that tag.. t's for sure not a date though.. that space is blank...

What part of the hoe is the tag on?

now yer making my rememberer work too hard.

will have to post back on that one after checkin again.. want to say it is on the lower main portion.. not a boom..etc.

spent all day wrapped in a leahter welding jacket, apron, gauntlet cuff gloves and a auto helmet cutting and welding and torching and fitting parts under that tractor.. not to mention hefting that big 3/4" air gun to take them big bolts off.... you probably DID smell smoke

Maybe that particular model but I bought a Woods 7500 backhoe in 1985 ish.
Built like a tank.
