I went to the link for your hydraulic unit. Now somebody help me out here if you know more than I do, it's been a little while since I had one of these units apart. Look in the larger picture of the unit. You see a large dark Hex looking thing coming out of the valve body, between the motor and the tank. I think that's the pressure relief adjustment. Remove the cap and unscrew the thingy a couple turns and measure max pressure. In is more pressure, out is less. Oh, put the cap back on before you energize. I hate hydraulic oil showers and I'm sure you do too. Good luck, Andy.

Andy. You're right, as usual. There IS an adjustment under that big hex cap.Should I back it almost all the way closed and try it there first?.

I've never had to drop the pressure down to 500 psi. But, I think you back the screw out until you feel little or no spring tension on it. Then screw it in until you get the pressure you want.

Here's what I would try. Put a gauge on the pump outlet. I would just put in a plug after the gauge so that you can run the pump to the max psi you want. Leave the cap off of the adjustment, back the screw out like described above. Now, energize the motor and check your pressure. The relief valve will bleed off the excess so don't worry that you have nowhere for the fluid to go. Now turn the screw in until you hit your 500 psi. Done. Just be careful as you are dealing with fluid under pressure. Good Luck and Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy turkey day to you too and thanks for all your help.
Here is the pump I have,or very similar.

It has power up and power down. Up is rated at 2500 psi and down is 500 psi.Which one do I plug to test and will turning the screw affectthe pressure in both ports?.I have really confused myself now.Obviously I know nothing!. Maybe I'll just fire it up and see what happens.I'll just blow both cylinder mounts off the trailer. Or not.

Plug them both with a steel JIC plug, looks about like a size -6. It looks like the silver solenoid powers your motor. Power to it and cylinders extend. When you go the opposite way, the black coil will be energized to port fluid the other way.

You obviously know something or you wouldn't have gotten this far.
Why don't you give me a call at my shop on Friday or Saturday. 570-251-8888.
