Need to identify steering housing on my 300b Backhoe

I purchased the backhoe with much play in steering.
Found the steering column would move nearly and inch up and down before the piston would start moving.
Disassembled top housing.
Looked up on JD parts and it appeared to be missing a spring.
Spring would not go on because the gap between two c-ring groves was too close.
Determined someone must have changed the shaft and installed wrong one.
Purchased a complete assembly to go in housing for 300B.
Learned it would not fit because some one had actually changed the whole housing.

Now, Most economical solution seems to be repair housing and assembly I have.
Can not find a way to find what tractor housing came off of. All the sites I visit start with the tractor and drill down to the parts.

How can I find what this housing came off of so I can get schematics and parts to repair it.

Number on Housing is T25285 T28388.

I would appreciate any information on Identifying what this housing came off of. Thank you.

by the way, I did find the where used tab on JD Parts.
Keyed in complete number no results
Keyed each half separate and got results for the second set.
None of the listed tractors steering column matches this one.
This one looks exactly like the one in the Schematic on the 300 B but apparently is something different about it.

I've tried unsuccessfully to locate casting # T25285 for another poster historyan1975. Read this thread about 1020 power steering housing which is similar to your tractor.http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/john-deere-ag-tractors/346895-jd-1020-power-steering.html Steering wheel moving up/down a little is normal. "Where used tab" on JDparts.com doesn't accept casting numbers only actual part number.
