Need To Ientify Solenoid Control On Diesel Injector Unit

I recently purchased an IH-234 compact tractor (1984 vintage) with 3 cylinder 18Hp diesel.
Some of the wiring has been cut and/or disconnected.
It has 2 wires that appear to be for a solenoid that is on the injector unit.
Can someone tell me what that is for.
The engine runs and starts OK.
Also, there seems to me some electrical sensors down at the gear shifters. Can someone tell me what those are for.

Just GUESSES the solinoid at he injection pump is for fuel shut off and the sensor on the trans is a neutral start switch.

I had a tech tell me that the solenoid may be for cold starting. He didn't offer much other insight.
He agreed that the items on the gear shift assemblies was likely Neutral Safety Lockout.

Here's a wiring diagram for an IH-234 Hopefully you can trace the cut wires to figure out what the solenoid does.

From looking at the wiring diagram looks like it has keystop (solenoid only energized by timer relay to kill the engine) and the switches for PTO, gear and range for starter interlock.

When the solenoid is energized it extends a plunger, blocking fuel flow and shutting off the tractor. If it's unhooked you shouldn't be able to turn off the tractor.

One wire on mine was broken where it enters the solenoid, so I either had to block the intake, throttle down while loading the hydraulics, etc to shut it off. Local Case dealer was able to order me a new one this past April.

Does anyone know where the actual ground terminal (BK) is on the tractor? By using the 234 wiring.pdf provide by The Kid? What type of problems has anyone had when the Engine Shut Off Relay fails?
