Well I will meet with PPG and Sherwin Williams reps on Monday I will post what I learn along with pricing I receive.

I used Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer on a rusting galvanized shed roof - 2 coats, 7 years ago and still looks great...a reddish brown color - like rust!

i've been doing some research on this topic as well. my barn was built in the 1930's and has what i am guessing is the original galvanized roofing on it. it was painted at some point but it's looking tired and replacement isn't an option ($$$).
short summary from my research is that there are products out there but that many of them are specialty.

Red is the worse color for roofs because it fades so quickly. If you are dead set on red, be sure to buy the very best you can find.
In my experience, primer is more important then the paint. I always buy what Sherwin Williams recommends, but if I was to paint a metal roof, I would go talk to an automotive paint supply company and find out what they have to offer before buying anything from Sherwin Williams.
How are you going to clean the roof before you start painting?

I know my Dad painted his Mom's barn with the aluminum paint before she passed, and it was still good almost 20 years later.
Did a chainlink fence which added a bunch of years to it (though he had to throw the jeans he was wearing away after).
Painted a Farmall F20 with it just to keep ahead of the rust, since it was the most durable paint he knew. It did a reasonable job of protecting that, too, even if it did look a little silly being bright silver. When it had aged another decade, it looked pretty nice that way.
