kubota l2350
Hi all, I have a l2800 Kubota and i want to buy a offset flail mower. It requires 2 circuits hydraulic for operation
Since my tractor is a 2009 dealership no longer has any quick anything to add the 2 circuits/spool valves etc.

Any guidance to creation would be appreciated

Do you have a link for the flail mower you are looking at? Want to see which type of circuits you'll need.

Are they just double acting? I'm guessing that you are not planning to run this off a motor spool but want to make sure.

I added 3 valves to my L2800 (just simple double acting, spring to center valves) one for a grapple, one for hydraulic top link and one for the hydraulic side link. I mounted mine just above the FEL control because I wanted to use the old hoses from the FEL for the new valve.

How much do you know about hydraulics? And are you mechanically incline? (I assume so... but have to ask). I knew nothing and the toughest thing for me was just to learn the terminology. Hooking it up was super easy but buying the CORRECT parts were the hardest part. I'll post some photos of my set up:

First photo; the location of my spool - the middle valve is for the grapple that I did not have at the time. It's quick connect so I can drop the FEL and the grapple at the same time.

Second is a side view of the birds nest of hoses... Third is view for the seat...

If this is something you want to know more about, let me know and I can post what I did... Or I can post how to do it for you.

More thoughts about this... DO YOU HAVE A Front End Loader on your tractor??? (should have been my first question!!!) If you don't than you'll need a bunch more stuff which I may not be able to help you with....

If you do have a Front End Loader (FEL); My whole set up (connecting after the FEL) was in the $700 dollar range but if you want to do this on the "Cheap Side"; you can disconnect your front end loader and use the FEL valves to power your flail mower.

Hi, cool, yes front end loader, and rear b75 backhoe. Thats the mower. So i could lock the fel off the ground, dissconnect from it and route the lines? Ok. Thanks.

A backhoe should simplify things. You could use the backhoe supply line to feed your new remote valve. The backhoe return line actually feeds the 3PH so that would go to the PB of the new remote valve. Then all you have to do is add a tank line which can be tee-d into an existing tank line.

Since old and tired has the same tractor I'll defer to him on which exact fittings to accomplish that.

Get a two or three spool valve. Get one of them with a detent. Then you can run the backhoe off the remotes and detent that remote in.

I've never seen what a backhoe supply line even looks like at all... so I can not help you with connecting something to that and make it work.

This is the valve that I used: 3 Spool 8 GPM Prince MB31BBB5C1 DA Valve when I purchased it (beside bring much cheaper) the price difference between 2 valves and 3 valves was maybe $60 - I see now that it's over $100.

2 spool valve: 2 Spool 8 GPM Prince MB21BB5C1 DA Valve

I did "T" the return line to the tank to my FEL, it's low pressure and that's the only place you can "T" into the system.

Also, to clarify, you'll have to completely disconnect (unattached) and drop the front end loader on some level ground. You can not Lock it up in the air and keep it on the tractor so that you can use the FEL control valves for something else. You have to release all the pressure in the hoses to disconnect and you can not do that with it in the air. (y)

Thanks guy, I am clear now on the Hydraulics. Another question, Can my l2800 drive a 5ft cutting width flail mower that might be rated for a 35hp, 30hp at the pto size mower? L2800 is 29.4hp, and 24hp at pto

I run a 65in ditch bank flail with hammers (Betstco) on a L3240. It mowes ok unless get into some heavy grass/weeds then i have to slow down a lot.

Based on the year I'm guessing you have the newer "Xtra power" version? That will help a bit as they went to a 1.5L from a 1.4L and gained about 1.5hp at the pto.

I bought a Victory 56" inch cutting width, total mower length is 63" thr outputof the l2800 pto rating just meets the bottom of the required spectrum, so i went with it. Granted I already know it will not be optimum, but it is what they recommended
