Before you say it, I'll say it.....
Even though I don't have my tractor yet, you've encouraged me to think ahead to the time when I do have my tractor and what kind of "additions" I'll put on it.
Well, I decided I'm going to mount a horn button on the deck just behind where my left foot rests. When I drove over-the-road buses, we had a horn button on the floor, so all you had to do was step on the button with the heel of your shoe to sound the horn. It worked great! It leaves your hands free to be turning the wheel, or in the case of the tractor, using the shuttle shift lever, fel joystick, or whatever. It also keeps you from having to bend over a little bit to reach the button.
What do you think? Has anybody tried mounting a horn this way? I know after using it for awhile in the coach, I really missed it in my truck!
