Need: Wooden leg for one legged duck

I would not put a wooden leg on that poor duck as it (the wooden leg) would make it float higher on one side and it would be in danger of capsizing the duck! this could lead to the duck drowning I liked the one about it swimming in circles. not making light of the duck really... I'm all for them usually covered under glass with a bit of sweet & sour sauce! LOL

I've seen FULL SIZED duck ate by BIG turtles! so seeing one with a bit less of a leg wouldn't be all that uncommon... could have been a muskrat trap too.

Upon further inspection, I was able to see part of her leg is still there. So maybe all that is needed is a prosthetic webbed foot.

So far, none of the ducks have been named so they have not become official 'pets'. They do have one group name, "Quacks". All together they are known as "the Quackers."

I have a hen w/ one leg.. a rat ate it off when she was a little peep. I tried to save it but the lower leg had no blood flow and I had to cut it off. Half her upper leg was eaten w/ the bone fully exposed on one side. I doctored, wrapped & bandaged it until the skin & muscle finally enclosed the bone.

I've thought about giving her a "wooden stick leg".. but the problems come w/ how to attach it(velcro straps).. what damage that might cause the remaining section of leg.. especially if not attended to over time.

She hops around.. lays eggs.. she has a separated area w/in the hen house.. the other hens would peck her to death. Her current pen-pal(Ha!Ha!) only has the use of one eye.
