I am looking to buy a service & parts manual for the new Boomer 55 Tier IV tractor. I have not found anyone with the parts manual. There is 1 dealer selling the service manual on Ebay for 187.50 I believe. I have attempted to contact the seller twice asking if this is 1 manual or a series of 4 manuals like my TC34DA is but I cannot get a response out of them. Does anyone know the answer to this question and also a source for the factory parts manuals ?

Did your new tractor come in? If so congrats.

For parts manual I'd ask that you take a look at New Holland parts website. It has the diagram and part number list. I believe it is printable as well so you can make your own hardcopy if you want to.

I'll have to check where I bought my service manual from. Maybe it will help you out.

Best of luck with your new tractor.

No, it hasn't come in yet but the service & parts manual will not come with it, only the owners manual. I always buy all the factory manuals that are available when I get a tractor so I thought I would get a leg up by going ahead and getting them before the tractor came in if I could. When I bought my TC34DA new in '08 I checked with the dealer and they wanted 400.00 + for the service manual(s). I bought them on Ebay for about 180.00. There are 4 volumes to the service manual for the TC34DA. I have tried to get a question answered about how many volumes are in the 55 SM but the seller on Ebay won't answer the question. They claim it has 2000+ pages which indicates to me that it probably is in multiple volumes but I ain't gonna buy it until I know what I'm getting. At 187.00 the price is comparable to what I paid before. I cannot find anybody selling the parts manual. I feel sure it exist but it seems it's gonna be hard to find. Nobody has responded on here but you so I guess I will keep on lookin' It's even harder to get a delivery date for the 55. I ordered it over 2 months ago and they wrote on the invoice a delivery time of Sept. / Oct. and when pressed farther all they would commit to was " this year" ! I believe this is the longest summer I have ever lived. Even after it is built it has to cross the Pacific ocean, come thru the Panama Canal then up the east coast to Philly I believe, offloaded to a truck or train then make it's way south to NC. It's Ironic that you can track a 5 dollar package sent from about anywhere but you can't track a 55K tractor ! When asked if they get a notice of some sort when it gets close to being delivered the said no so I guess nobody knows until the truck rolls in with it. I just X ed off another day on the calendar :(

The service manual is part number 48144020 for the Boomer 55. $677.27 ouch. You can order from the dealer or http://www.dmcretail.com ,
There isn't a listing for a parts manual that I can find.

The manual I have came from Heavymanuals.com , it is about 2000 pages and is just one manual. Came as a PDF on a thumb drive because I didn't want a paper copy.

Found a little humor in the package tracking.

That's the same p/n as the one on Ebay. It says it has 2,213 pages (187.50). If you take the last 5 digits of the serial numbers it covers (Boomer 55, Cab) it covers 10001 to 10120 which would be the 1st 120 55's with cabs. There are 55's with cabs that are being advertised with s/n's approaching 500 on tractorhouse.com. There are 30 of them listed currently with s/n's ranging from 10008 to about 100485. I am assuming mine would be 500+. I'm sure this is the 1st version of the service manual. It's possible that there could be changes after s/n 120. I have service manuals for machines with 2 or more s/n ranges for the same machine. Maybe I would just be better off waiting until the tractor comes. The same dealer is selling parts manuals for Boomer 46D's & 54D's with CVT trannies and for Boomer 24's. I can't see why they would print parts manuals for those models and not the 45, 50 and 55's. It don't make any sense.

The one on dmc retail lists the same serial number ranges. My thoughts are that it's the current manual but that's just my two cents.

It probably is the only one available. I just got off the phone with the dealer. I asked if they listed a parts manual for a 55 and after a couple minutes he came back and said they didn't list a parts or a service manual for it. He was surprised when I told him they did make a service manual. He said he was gonna call NH and check on the parts manual. When I ordered the 55 I told them I wanted the back up beeper which it plainly states on their website is an option on the 55. The salesman told me I didn't want it but stopped short of refusing to add it to the options list so I dropped it. I have a special purpose for it but I don't want it working all the time so I intend to put a in line toggle switch on it to where I can turn it on and off as I want to. The parts man said they would have to order it and install it after the tractor comes in. The parts man tried to find it after I asked him how much it cost and he couldn't even find it listed for a 55 but it plainly list it as an option on their website. My local dealer doesn't know anything about Boomers because they don't stock or sell them. I am very disappointed in their knowledge of a tractor that they should be selling. They push the Workmaster line and don't care or know anything about Boomers. I think I told you the salesman didn't even know they made a Boomer with a CVT until I told him.

I think that the NH Boomer 55 is the same as the LS XR4155, but not sure. You may be able to find a download for that manual. I downloaded my service manuals at no charge. Dealer gave me the webb site. I also downloaded the parts manual, but not sure the part number would match. I would think that most of the pictures are the same.

First, you are a smart man to get the service manual, despite the insulting price involved, when it at least does exist.
Second, it seems all the dealers are pushing Workmasters and not the Boomers, and I don't understand it. Some of the feature to the Boomers are important, like stronger loaders for one example. It boggles my mind that the Boomers seem to be on a back burner, which does point to the possibility of problems with parts and service down the road a few years.

The reason they push Workmasters is because they sell. As I've stated before my local dealer doesn't stock them because they only sell maybe 1 a year as opposed to selling lots of Workmasters. Most buyers are price shopping and don't care about getting the "bells & whistles" that you get with a Boomer. I have noticed in areas where big money is nearby dealers stock a lot more Boomers. One smaller dealer in Del. near Washington DC that I contacted had a lot full of Boomers but he couldn't match the price of my local dealer. He came right out and told me he did not want to sell thew tractor to me. I figure his reason was he knew I would not be back for parts or service which is where they make their money.
