I have a 1996 MF 1250 compact tractor with a FEL. I now need rear hydraulics for a ditch fail mower.
I already have a system for the FEL and a single spool directional valve for a hay grapple attachment. When using the grapple, I take off the FEL and attach the grapple. Even when doing that, all three functions work. The single spool valve is plumbed ahead of the FEL. The valves are in series.
The new attachment is a ditch mower with two cylinders for two direction movement. It has 4 hoses, two hoses for each cylinder. Could I achieve that level of control by simply replacing the single spool valve with a 4-way 2 spool valve? Could it be as simple as removing the 2-way single spool valve and installing a new valve. I could use the grapple by connecting only 2 hoses when I use the grapple. I would never use the mower when using the grapple. (I could live with that)
