I have a 2014 Case IH Farmall with Case loader. The joystick has the required electrical set up to operate third fcn. I included a picture of the valves on the front of the loader. Can someone help me with where I go from here? Do I need to buy a "third fcn kit?" Ive found some of these on Summit Racing. Dealer referred me to someone that was not helpful. I think in the picture, the nut facing forward is the "power beyond".

Second question. I want to be able to operate either a circular limb saw or chain saw from the loader and also a grapple. From what i've read there is a difference in hydraulics between the two.

Any help appreciated.

A third function uses hydraulic valves to operate. I can’t tell for sure from the pic but it does not look like you have a third function setup.

A grapple uses cylinders to open and close. The saws use a hydraulic motor.

Your machine may not have sufficient hydraulic flow to operate a hydraulic motor. Cylinders don’t require much of a flowrate. Hydraulic motors usually do.

It might help to mention what model (and maybe what version of that) tractor and loader you're dealing with. And also what is that in your photo? Assuming you have a dedicated loader valve somewhere?

Unless you currently have some unused valves, you may need two different additions in order to operate two separate functions, not just a single "third function".

This link might be helpful. Based on your initial questions it might be prudent to have the 3rd function installed by your dealer.
