I was recently given an IH 47 square baler. Had some issues that I think I have now finally corrected with the knotter. The other issue I have been having is the needles entering the chamber early sometimes and the plunger hitting the stopper leading to a pile of shear bolts shearing.
The needle yoke brake pad is basically worn to nothing letting the needles slide. Question is where the heck do you even find those pads or lining? Either my Googlefu sucks or they just don't seem to be around. Alternatively, what could a guy use to cobble something together to keep the needles in place until their time comes?
