Jim,

Very nice car. One of my uncles has two clasic falcons (red one and a white one) completely restored. But that Impala is very sharp. One question the nice polished door panel says something, not sure, but does it say shattered dreams? If so is that to the person that loses to him?

Very nice all around. I like the dice shifter.

Jim,
Your nephew seems to have the touch for hyd art.
Man I hope your nephew never pulls up behind me and starts pulling levers, for I would hit more than stone walls trying to get out of his way.

Those cars are just made for that look...or is it that we've just seen so many looking like that? Out in Tucson, someone took a newer model Lincoln Town car and sis the same thing. Somehow it just wasn't right. I have a '64 T-bird. The guy I bought it from said he had several people approach him that wanted to make it a low rider. How much lower you could make my car is beyond me.

Attached is a picture of my car. It's a nice 20 footer but needs a bit of TLC. The brake lines have been blown for a few months now and I finally ordered the parts. Can't stand the thought of spring without the Bird!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Jeff,
That is one sweet ride. I know the feeling about the lines. I poped a hole in the fuel line of my LTD last summer, and just never got around to fixing it. This comming year we will be building a new house, so looks like it will be put off for another year.

That's another project I'd like to get to...replaceing all of the rubber portions in the fuel line. Problem is I'm told by a fellow club member that I have to remove the drivers front fender to get to one of them. That will sure make me put off a project for a while or until it quits or starts leaking. Sure hope you carry a fire extinguisher like I do. Old wires, old fuel line and leaking everything else!/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Jeff

What town are you in? The houses look just like the one I used to have in Rochester, NY.

Jeff,
The reason I have not replaced the lines is that they go between the fraim rail, and the body. I do not want to remove the body/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif yet anyway. Luckely I did not have any fuel leaks. What happens is they got little pin hole leaks that let air in, not letting the fuel pump suck fuel from the tank. That pic was taken in the house I live in now in Schenectady NY. Not for long, next year I will be in the country./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I've also got a Corvette. When I went to replace all of the brakelines with stainless I discovered the body also had to be removed to gain access to the line going from front to rear. What were these guys thinking. I also had to change the pinion seal on the differential. To do this you have to remove a bracket. Unfortunately one of the bolts hits the underside of the car. Feeling I must be missing something and as a last resort I broke out the repair manual. They actually suggested drilling a big hole through the fiberglass in the storage area behind the seats. Yeah right!/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif Enjoy your car, keep 'er out of the salt!!
