It was noted yesterday on Face the Nation that from Pearl Harbor to the end of WWII took less time than the attack on 9-11 until now. We are no closer to winning this battle today compared to 5 years ago, it appears as though we are further behind. The lack of resolve we have as a country today produces a stronger resolve for our enemy. Those who have forgotten are those who want to cut and run. We must never forget but we must also come back together as a nation. What will THAT take?

On the night the war started I sat around a table having a few drinks after mountain biking with a few of my fellow Conservative friends watching the "Shock and AWE" and surprisingly I was the only one that supported the war. At that time I believed what my elected leaders told me; that ****** had WMD and direct links to the 9/11 attackers as well as ******. Now I believe we were lied to as there is no evidence to support the original reasons we went to war (If you have some I would like to see it).
So now what do we do, continue spending 200 billion or more per year and a few thousand lives keeping two Muslim sects that hate each other apart or let them fought it out like we did during our civil war? Eventually they will get tired of killing each other and form a government.
