New 2017 Cubcadet won't start

I have a new 2017 CubCadet 7000 series mower that won't start cold. If I use ether it will start right up and runs smoothly. Spark plugs ok. This is a new machine and getting frustrating. Can anyone help me??

Take it back to the dealer for warranty, could be something as simple as the choke isn't working correctly. But let them fix it, because if you mess with it they could deny the warranty.

It's probably the Choke adjustment (Unless it's fuel-injected) but in any event it's a warranty issue.

Just be sure to post the result back here for the benefit of others.

I don't think Cub makes a 7000 series mower. Cub does sell mowers with a 7000 series Koehler engine, equipped with what they call Smart Start technology. They advertise, start just like a car, turn the switch and go. I think you need to do as others have suggested, obtain warranty service.

In the meantime, DON'T use ether on a brand new engine. If anything might get you into trouble on warranty on the engine Ether is it!
You definitely have a cold start issue, which if fuel injected is likely directly connected to the cold start sensors/injector(s).
If carbed, choke not working, most likely.
Take it in, get it fixed, report results...
