After a week of trying to get use to using a rear mower I ask the dealer to change me back to 54"mmm . What a difference from the 425.
All kind of power ,mowing on a hill side is much nicer now with the 4x4 . Which I had done this 5 yrs ago and gotten the 4x4 then and not the 425, not that the 425 was a bad machine The diesel has so much on power and the 2 times mowing seems to use less fuel than the gas .Hope to try out the fel this weekend planning on tearing out appx 500' of my driveway . Planning on renting a el. jack hammer and then use the fel to remove the old concrete.

A tooth bar on your bucket would go a long way to making that job alot easier. I don't think you'll be able to get one before the weekend though.

thanks I had thought about a tooth bar just never took the time to do much research. Hoping doing it without the tootbar works may take a few minutes longer not having them.

I had the same experience, moving up from a 425 to the 2210. And even though on paper, they're not that far apart on power, in the real world they are! What a difference! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

For Tooth Bars, people here have been real happy with this company. http://markhamwelding.com/

I really don't think it's a matter of taking more time, but rather having the right tool for the job. A tooth bar allows you to dig under a section of concrete to lift it up, something that you just can't do with the flat edge of the bucket.

500' of driveway is an awful lot of concrete to tear up. Good luck with it and let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the replies, I forgot one thing on my first post
should have read 500 sg ft not 500' either way I still have my day cut out and hope to put the 2210 to a test.

Great machines. In hard tilling or mowing with the 62c MMM, I will use about .9 gallons of diesel per hour. Discounting the original price of the equipment, it is pretty cheap entertainment!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm going to try and get a few photos this weekend.
I agree cheap entertainment about the same for fuel . I did find out weights and fluid in the tires are not enough when trying to lift up a 32"x 65" piece of concete - Put the weight on and then had no problems lifting . Moved the slab about 250' down a slope . The first time I tried to turn on a slight encline the pucker power kicked in very quick . Just glad I had my hand on the control stick to lower the bucket. When the right rear wheel comes off the ground you can react very quickly. Just glad I did the right things. No one hurt and no euiptment broke.

Finally have two pictures 1st the night I received the JD2210
had the 60 rmm since that time changed to the 54c mmm
I like much better of course mowing with a mmm for the past 30 yrs might have a little help in making the change
the 2nd picture is part of the first section of concrete we tore out this past Saturday
As you can also see the slope of land in both pictures.
I loaded the concrete on my 5x12 trailer and then had to unload 3/4 of the way up the hill in the first picture above the cab of the truck. It took 3 loads Glad for 4x4 and dry weather .
