Been reading the threads regarding the new loaders from JD. I have a 4410 Ehydro with 430 loader. How are they getting the added 300 lbs of lift out of the 300cx. Is it larger cylinders or more Hydraulic pressure?

good question. I dunno, but we can sleuth it!

First they will list specs on a particular tractor. So figure on that being on a 3x20, they might get a boost on hydraulics. Don't forget that they may also get more beef in the front axle, although I have the impression from several dealers that there are no issues with the 4x10 axle...

The 300cx manual link isn't working at Deere, so the detailed specs aren't up, yet. The 3x20 specs are at the UK site, but are in that metric jumbo. I will try and get a conversion. But then, the European versions can be equipped differently, too....

OK, after A little quality time with the specs...

The 4310/4410 and the 3x20s are almost identical except for engines. Same axle specs, same hydraulics, both flow and pressure. Same 3 point lift specs.

I bet a look at the loaders at JDParts will show all the difference is in the cylinders, with a stronger frame for support...

Mike you are probably right about the larger cylinders on the new loaders. I am tempted to look into an upgrade for my 4410 if there is no way that I can boost the lift capacity of my 430 by 300 lbs. Maybe the best thing would be to trade up to the new 3000 series with the 300cx loader. By the way is the pressure relief valve adjustable on the 4410? I have heard of folks increasing the hydraulic pressure within limits to increase lift performance.

I bet the relief valve is adjustable. I do't have a service manual, but someone else might have an answer. I would suggest starting a thread on that...

But be careful! It is set where it is for a reason. That said, it doesn't look like any substansive changes will be in the 3x20s, just the loader... Deere has always been a little conservative, but they needed loaders with some curve like NH but that were stronger like Kubotas....

There might be a little window where the 4410 will be more valuable. I bet the 3x20s are already starting on the line, or will be very shortly, but not yet available, but with no real production, there could be a shortage of midchassis Deeres. Might be the best time to sell. Don't expect me to do that, though. My wife might leave me if I sold MY tractor... (Just kidding! _ I hope...)

I'm thinking adding larger cylinders with the same flow and pressure will just mean the FEL is slower to raise, albeit more lift but require more ballast.

I recall "slow" was what I got when once on a NH comparing directly (side by each) with the same hp and size Deere. I didn't like how slow it was, and preferred the Deere.
