Branson 3725
Traded in a 67 year old Ford 8n on a new 3725. Feel like I'm driving a Cadillac! Mostly got caught up on my bush hogging so far but have lots of plans for the backhoe and loader. Tomorrow will be a general tidy up. Need to clean up some areas which I haven't been able do anything with without an FEL. Ultimately hope to clear out an area which drains a hillside and put in a series of small ponds/pools with rock waterfalls. A bit of wood to cut and move this winter. So, as I say, lots of plans!

Very cool. I know what you mean about getting things done, it's a great feeling to be able to look at a job and say, "Yeah, I can do that".

Enjoy.

Thanks everyone. Got a lot done today. Don't think I've even come close to maxing capabilities.

I do not miss my old 8N one bit. Although it was an easy machine to work on and always seemed to start when I needed it. But, with a loaded bucket of ANYTHING including ping pong balls you had to find a bump to hit to make the front end bounce just to turn the steering wheel. The brakes (?) ha, may as well drag your feet although after having them replaced just before I sold it (I couldn't in good conscience sell it "as is", I knew the guy who bought it and he had a family) the tractor would stop with just a slight drag of the bucket instead of an all out OH ****, LOOK OUT. Full bucket, look for a tree close by before you picked up to much speed. You had to have a BIG sack to operate that machine on anything but flat ground. If you maxed out the hand throttle and dropped the hammer (clutch) she'd just about spin her back tires if you were in loose gravel. Oh yeah, miss that ole girl all right.

Forgot, my apologies, congratulations on your new tractor. :cool2: The new 25 series are really setup nice. Of course they came out with them the year AFTER I purchased my Branson. Just my luck.
