I just had to post to tell everyone how I like my new 4020. I previously owned a 2810. This is like night and day comparison. This thing really has the response I was looking for. When you throttle it, it really responds. I got the tractor and loader and my dealer threw in the canopy. I will be posting pictures soon. I got to bushhog with it and with a 6 ft. hog you can barely tell its back there.

That's good to know -- I have a 4020 in my sites and wondered if it was more than I needed. I've heard that the 4 cylander engine makes for a smoother, quieter machine. Can you confirm this for us? Also, did you get turf tires? the one I want has them and I'd be interested in you impressions.

Thanks,

Rod

DrRod,
The 4020 has a turbo 3 cylinder, but is very smooth and a lot more quiet than my previous 2810. The power is very impressive though. I bought mine with R-4's. I am in the process of taking pictures and am going to post them. I had ag tires on the 2810 and they pulled really well but wanted to try R4's this time. The 3 cylinder is turbo charged.

Greetings,

OK -- now I'm genuinely confused. I thought all the 20 series tractors had 4 cylinders. I went to their website to check my memory and didn't see the 4020 -- just a 3820, 4220, and 4720. What am I missing here?

Thanks,

Just a little info I hope will help, The 2810, 3520, and the 4020 are last years model, very good tractors with the Kukje motor, the new 2910, 3510, 3820, 4220 and 4720 all have the new A-series motor (cummins). The 10 series are 3 cyl, and the 20 series are 4 cyl. I sell a lot of these tractors, if you have any question I will try to help. Thanks Jason

Isn't that a little misleading? Don't thesse tractors have a Kukje engine thats based upon the A-series engine that they are building for Cummins?

In other words, when I look at the valve cover on then engine of a 4220, will it have the Kukje "S" or will it say Cummins?
