Well, I have had my machine for close to a month now. I think it is really great except for two idiosyncracies:

1). When you turn the wheels all the way to the left, they rub on the backhoe mounting bracket. I can fix this easilly enough with a grinder, but still...

2). When you turn the wheels all the way to the right, they catch on the hydraulic hoses to the loader. I can fix this with a tie-wrap, but still...

All things considered, I would buy another. It starts great, the hydraulics are quick and it is really fun.
I just wonder if anyone else had experienced any similar issues?

Glad to hear you're having fun with your new tractor Tombo. JD must need a better hose routing engineer as I have a similar problem on my 790 with the FEL hoses. The wireform bracket is just not up to the task. I have put extra wrapping and some big wireties around to protect but I still get rubbing sometimes /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I don't have a backhoe on my 4010; so I don't have the left hand problem. Don't have the right hand one either. My hoses are nicely gathered and protected by like a black mesh netting. I'd think the 4010 and 4110 are almost identical except for 2 more hp in the engine and sep. power steering pump and about 20% higher rate hydraulics. Think I maybe should shoot a pic of my right side stuff.

Will go out there and do so.

Tombo,

I don't have my backhoe yet, so I can't comment on that problem, but I don't have the problem with the front tire rubbing against the hydraulic lines either. I took a photo of the fabric around the hydraulic lines on my 4110. All the rubber lines are nicely tucked in the loader's support arm.

My older 4100 had issues with the hose-holding bracket until the hoses caught on the front tire real good one day and bent the heck out of the bracket.

I removed the bracket and now use a bungee to keep the hoses up and out of the way with both the loader and my front blade or snowblower.

I was taught by an experienced automotive engineer that

"Anything held on by one fastener will eventually fall off. Two and it might last a bit longer. Three or more is good."

Something about the vibration and that one screw will always loosen and that is exactly what happened to the hose bracket on my 4100.

Hypermix beat me to it. That's exactly what my 4010 with 410 loader looks like. Someone must have bent a bundle of lines on your 4110.

Tombo,

I have the 4110 with BH & FEL, I don't have either issue, it sounds like your install might not be correct. This photo is from just above the front left tire looking into the BH subframe mounting bracket - it attaches to the FEL support. Nothing extends in front of the FEL mounting frame. There's easily a couple of inches between the tire and mount when fully turned to the left. 2 more pics to follow.

And this is of the right front tire looking at the hydraulic lines. Not even close to the tire. As Hypernix said, they're snaked thru a sleeve (looks like snake skin) and then tucked thru the loader arms. Sorry the pics are a little fuzzy, first time trying to compress them to fit within the TBN file size requirements.
