Well I did it. Signed the papers during lunch today. I am keeping all the implements I had for the 2210 and using them with the 4110. I did get the 200CX loader, tires filled, 5 suit case weights, Power Beyond and folding rops. I might get the 48" frontier BB also since deere is offering $200 of another implement. I think the Frontier will be heavier than the KK 48" I now have so if any of you local guys (I am in Eaton Rapids MI) wants a good deal on the kk 48" just let me know (it's been used and of couse the paint is wore...:).

Sure is going to be a long wait till Friday!...and the weather forcast is calling for much needed rain from Friday on thruough next Thursday.....go figure. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Congratulations. As a first time buyer I got a 4110 and I couldn't be happier. Its small enough to manuver into really tight spots, great turning radius, but still feels like a real tractor. And it comes across as all muscle. Enjoy. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congrats! I thought you might by swaying that way. Post some pics when you get a chance, as well as let us know how the 4110 handles things like the post hole digger and tiller when compared to the 2210. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congrats! You're going to love it. And the Frontier BB's are sweet too! I use the 60" behind my 4110 without any problems.

Good choices. I do believe the Frontier BB will be a bit heavier duty than the KK for you if that is the way you end up going. I have enjoyed my step up from 2210 to 4110 also. Enjoy /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

DrRod thanks! I need to quit upgrading lol. 4 years ago I had a X475...then the 2210 when we bought our property last spring and built our log home....btw I think I remember you have a log home also. We love ours.

kennyd, you sure have been active with mods. Your posts have been real interesting to read. I have the MM251 mig welder along with a plasma cutter, lathe and mill so I will be getting into some stuff for this one soon. I really didn't have any time with the 2210. I was way to busy trying to tame the property here. Most of the has to be done stuff is finished now and once winter gets here I should be ready to get back into my shop.

JDFanatic, I am glad I finally made a decision. I sure was jumping around alot. To tell the truth if it hadn't been for the god awful slopes I have here I probably would have ended up with the 790. I test drove the 4110 at the dealers and he had some comparable slopes for me to drive on. Did seem bad. The filled tires will help. I will be doing some tilling this weekend if the weather clears up. And I am going to try it with the subsoiler right away. I know how good a job the 2210 did so that will be a good test as far as hp to the ground compares.

Cliff Johns...thanks I am really looking forward to putting some hours on this weekend. The 2210 was 19 months old and hasb 366 hours on it. I will be working this one also..:)

2nstonge, I am glad to hear the 4110 handles the 60' bb. I tried one on the 2210 and had to go with the 48". It just would load up and stall the 2210 almost right away. Have you done much breaking and leveling of compacted clay with yours?

Thanks again guys. Pics to come this weekend... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

awh...bigpete, you were posting when I was responding to the rest of the thread. What are your thoughts on the 4110 compared to the 2210 for ground engaging implements?

I use the BB primarily for gravel driveway repairs; a mix of clay, gravel, stones and mud. I did about a dozen driveways this year, it will bog down if I let the box fill completely; just too much weight to pull. Once I figured out the right combination of scarifier depth for the soil and then front-rear angle for what I was trying to accomplish it became a whole lot easier.

I also use a CCM 48" tiller, over 30 gardens this spring/summer - most of them in virgin VT clay. No problems.

For both implements I found the key is to maintain constant ground speed and not trying to bite too much at once. 2 slower passes works much better (and is less frustrating) than 1 deep pass.
