Hello all. I've been reading over this website for quite some time now trying to gather some inside info. After about a year, I figured I had about as much as I could get. I've looked at so many tractors over the last 12 months, I'm sick of looking at tractors. So, last week I bought a 4530 shuttle with a 72" fel, model 485 backhoe, a 60" grapple, and set of pallet forks. It's supposed to be delivered in a couple of weeks to the dealer and then he'll bring it to me. Kinda lookin' forward to it. I've been using my dad's 1986 Massy Ferguson 1040 for a long time, but I wanted something a little stronger. I know it's not the biggest, but it's about a strong as my budget could get. I don't farm, I just need something to help keep my place cleaned up. Don't know about the rest of you, but the older I get, the longer it's taking. I'll post some pictures when I get it.

:welcome:Congratulations and welcome to the forum. From the sound of what you are doing I believe you will be pleased. Mine has handled everything I have thrown at it plus, and has surprised me more than once at what it can do. Only one problem so far that was covered under warranty(leaking fuel line) There are a few small things that I dont like, but all in all I have been real happy with my choice on the 4530. Giving how much you spent at the dealer I would get him to fill the rear tires for free
Regard's
Sean

When you get it, photos please. Why did you get the smaller backhoe? According to the spec sheet it will take a 595 backhoe.

You are correct. It's a 595 model. I told you I'd looked at a lot of tractors.

My tractor was delivered Friday. I spent most of the day today playing on it. Dug up a few stumps with the backhoe. I tell ya, if there's one thing I love it's gettin' down and dirty with my hoe! :) The grapple works great also. That is one powerful tractor. So far, I'm completly satisfied.

By the way, the backhoe is made by Paladin.

Nice pictures. Thanks. But... You got a 509 not a 595. Not much difference, but still a teeny bit smaller.

Yes, I found that out a couple of weeks ago when the dealer emailed me the price breakdown.

CJS.. I'm really curious to know how well this machine works out for you because right now this is what I'm leaning toward. Got mainly land clearing to do and at some point want to use the machine to put in a new septic system.. I keep waffling between this and a mini-ex.
