Price Check new 4600 price

dealer has two new ones here and wants 20,000.00 with 460 loader/73"h.d.bucket /powerreverser trany/4x4.what kind of deal is this.this is a two year old model?

I don't know if that's a good deal or not. How many hours and what does the invoice look like on it?

I bought a 4600 in August with HST, 460 Loader with HD bucket, extra SCVs, turf tires, etc. for about 21.3K.

Good luck - it's a great tractor for the price either way and I'm glad I went with the 4600 vs. waiting.

If it's brand new that's a great deal! You will still get the full warranty. On tractors the year really doesn't make alot of difference, it's the hours.

ad in a few options like hydro,ext hitch,armrest and it just doesnt seem like that great of deal.compared to new orange.bws

Compared to new orange what? I don't think you can get a comparably equipped orange tractor for that kind of money if you compare specs to specs. At least you couldn't when I was looking. At $20k that's 30% plus off of list. I believe there may still be some rebates on that tractor as well. I could be wrong as I haven't looked at Kubota prices for a couple years.

If you just compare it to deere prices which is really comparing like to like it's not too bad of a deal. Plus if they are asking $20k you could probably get a little more off with a cash deal. Hard to say without being there.

Personally I would push him a little more on price.

Don't forget the "00" series is obsolete, new series is"10". Nothing wrong with "00" some LVB kits and parts may not be available. This happened with my 4400. Just check and get any options ordered with it before you pay for it.You can go to JD web site and compare JD toJD or orange to green.

Just for my information. What part(s) for your 4400 were not available? Are you sure it is JD or just the dealer. I have had no trouble with my 4300. If they are not available what good will it be to order up front, With your thinking my 2002 Lincoln is now obsolete. You may be rich enought to buy every new model I am not. I don't consider my brother's "M" Farmall is obsolete just used and newer/bigger models are available. Just my 2 cent worth.

Yea I agree with you. I have no problem finding parts for my 26 year old JD 4020 so how in the heck can there be obsolete parts on a two or three year old 4400?
