Fellow TBNers,

After two years of looking at compact utility tractors and three months hard research, and two months of waiting, my new 4710 was delivered yesterday. My 4710 comes with eHydro, tall folding ROPS, 5 SCVs, top and tilt kit, 460 FEL with HD bucket and 4in1 bucket (both buckets having toothbars), MX6 rotary cutter, pallet forks, LR1172 Frontier landscape rake, and a few other goodies.

I would wait to post pics but it's snowing now in upstate New York....afraid I can't take pics until weather improves a bit....but, I wanted to express my thanks to a few folks here.

I'd like to thank Muhammad for hosting such a fine website; John Miller III and Rich Zlattner (RichZ) for guiding me to a good, fair, and honest dealer in KC-Canary in Fultonville, NY; Dan McCarty and cowboydoc for helping me improve my knowledge and understanding of SCV operations and functions, and blurrybill and Jim Crowley for helping me do some hard 're-thinks' on purchasing options as we three exchanged e-mails on various decisions we were making on attachments, hydraulics and so on since we purchased our tractors around the same time. Finally, thanks to all TBNers who contribute to the discussion forums....all of you do such an unselfish job contributing your excellent knowledge and expertise that in most cases money can't buy.

I've spent countless numbers of hours researching many old threads in making the purchase I did. If anything, I would recommend newcomers to these forums do likewise if you're just now educating yourself and trying to make a decision on a compact tractor purchase. There's an incredible wealth of information here at TBN that can't be found elsewhere.

When weather clears up a bit, I'll take pics of the new tractor and post here in these forums. I also hope to post messages from practical project experiences that others may also learn from.

Again, thanks to all!!!

Regards,
Bob Ancar

Wow /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif you really got the whole package. I bet that with your 4710 and that 4-n-1 bucket, you will have one lean mean dirt eating machine. I think you will also be pleased with the MX-6 cutter. I have the MX-8 and it has been great so far. Looking forward to seeing some pics soon...

Ok Bobby... Now.... get to work... /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Two long years without a tractor is... well... just plain too long... /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

It appears you went top shelf and didn't skimp on anything... that's the way to do things... go first class (especially if you can afford to...) and don't look back... then to add frosting to your cake... you got an "unexpected $1000. bill" back in your hands after your purchase... that's certainly not hard to take... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

In fact, I was out at K.C. Canary's yesterday afternoon... after my first visit to TSC's Amsterdam store... where I ran into Richie and his wife Karen...

Again congrats on the new pieces of equipment and thanks for the kind words... though it wasn't us... it was really you that did your homework...

Because of the number of new things, and all the initial excitement... it can become overwhelming and you'll want to try everything at once... but after everything calms down... take it slow & easy and study each piece and be safe... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Congratulations on your purchase.
If you are like me you cannot get enough seat time on one of these babys.I have had mine 2 years the end of this June and I have put 428 hours on it and I can't wait to get on the darn thing again today.
Enjoy and wear that seat belt and keep the roll bar up at all times.
Enjoy

John,

<font color=green>Two long years without a tractor is... well... just plain too long...</font color=green>

It's actually been 16 years....and my back is really feeling it. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif It's just in the last 2 years that I started to get my financial situation together that I felt I could make this kind of purchase.

<font color=green>"...thanks for the kind words... though it wasn't us... it was really you that did your homework..."</font color=green>

Yes, I may have done my homework but it really was you and the others here at TBN who pass on your knowledge, skills, and experience so willingly....otherwise I would have had no way to learn and to do my homework. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Thanks again John and others. Got about 1 hour of seat time in today helping my wife dig up some new flower beds. Weather should be improving this week...will take pics and post here in this thread.

Bob,
Way to go... congratulations and best of luck... don't forget the pictures!
How did the delivery process go??? everything as you expected? In an email last week Jason said he had your field diverter (?) 95% installed and it was a difficult installation. What is a field diverter and what do you use one for?

Best of Luck, Jim
