Fellow TBNers,
After two years of looking at compact utility tractors and three months hard research, and two months of waiting, my new 4710 was delivered yesterday. My 4710 comes with eHydro, tall folding ROPS, 5 SCVs, top and tilt kit, 460 FEL with HD bucket and 4in1 bucket (both buckets having toothbars), MX6 rotary cutter, pallet forks, LR1172 Frontier landscape rake, and a few other goodies.
I would wait to post pics but it's snowing now in upstate New York....afraid I can't take pics until weather improves a bit....but, I wanted to express my thanks to a few folks here.
I'd like to thank Muhammad for hosting such a fine website; John Miller III and Rich Zlattner (RichZ) for guiding me to a good, fair, and honest dealer in KC-Canary in Fultonville, NY; Dan McCarty and cowboydoc for helping me improve my knowledge and understanding of SCV operations and functions, and blurrybill and Jim Crowley for helping me do some hard 're-thinks' on purchasing options as we three exchanged e-mails on various decisions we were making on attachments, hydraulics and so on since we purchased our tractors around the same time. Finally, thanks to all TBNers who contribute to the discussion forums....all of you do such an unselfish job contributing your excellent knowledge and expertise that in most cases money can't buy.
I've spent countless numbers of hours researching many old threads in making the purchase I did. If anything, I would recommend newcomers to these forums do likewise if you're just now educating yourself and trying to make a decision on a compact tractor purchase. There's an incredible wealth of information here at TBN that can't be found elsewhere.
When weather clears up a bit, I'll take pics of the new tractor and post here in these forums. I also hope to post messages from practical project experiences that others may also learn from.
Again, thanks to all!!!
Regards,
Bob Ancar
