New 4720H on the way

My first post here ... thanks for all the great reading for me while I made my decision.....

My Branson 4720H, BL20ASL loader, B8620 hoe (w/ thumb), pallet forks, turf tires, and jinma 6" chipper will be here in two weeks.... I can't wait to post the pictures. (fyi - $30K before tax). Green and Orange looked good, but Red + more HP, goodies, and cash in my pocket won the day....

I have 3 acres (half is wooded), am starting a fairly significant remodel/addition (adding 2K sq.ft.) which is going to require quite a bit of digging for foundation and new septic. I am also running a small apiary (bee hives).....

Tell me, two weeks is an eternity..... 17,296 minutes left if I was tracking, but who is watching the clock? There was a 3820H and 4220i on the lot, it was hard not to get one real time. Apparently the 4720H has just hit the west coast - a few in N. Ca (Stockton I think), and mine is now hopefully making its way north.... I decided to wait for the extra power (3820 to low) and ease of the hydrostatic (4220i clutch) -(note I called hydrostatic 'easy' rather than calling me wimpy.) It is also important to point out my father in-law has a 4220i (another reason Branson is a no brainer for me), and I wanted to make sure mine was at least 'a little bigger'.

I believe the thumb is aftermarket, and put on by the dealer (~$900 - may be installed in CA, I didn't ask, but was clear to hurry up!). It is manually adjustable - the fully hydrolic unit was $3K.

Well yeah, 4720 is a must!
This place sure has been slow around here lately?
I guess no one got anything to complain about......good thing.

I'm a bit south of you in Olympia and am going to be looking at a new Branson 4720H at Boulder Equipment this Saturday. Where did you purchase yours? Did you go with the Branson backhoe?

as a matter of fact, I bought my at boulder too - Rod is great...... my father in-law bought one there too. It is going to be delivered on Tuesday.... I can't wait!

Here are the specs:
4270H w/ R3 tires (turf) (Branon shipped the 4270 hydrostat - I think mine is the first north of CA, don't buy it before it gets to me!)
BL20ASL - branson self leveling loader
B8620 back-hoe w/ 18" bucket
pallet fork SSK 2,250lb
jinma 6" chipper

$32.9K out the door

I am also having a manual thumb put on the back-hoe (don't have the exact spec) - $1K.

my father-in law just picked up a post hole digger (9", $700). I encouraged him strongly to get one seeings how I'll be able to use it too.....

OK..... I haven't had time to post because I've been driving my tractor! Have pulled two huge stumps, and a couple for my neighbor just to get the hang of it.....

then dug a 25x5 foundation area for a kitchen remodel/expansion..... built forms, poured concrete, and as quick as I could pull forms and put in some drainage it was back filled..... it went so fast 'why I was at it' I started a tractor shed by digging a couple holes and sunk some posts with the extra concrete from pouring foundation footings/wall. Then .... just for fun, we dropped some trees (alders with some rot) by tying a rope 20' up, blocked around another tree, a rope to the tractor - a few cuts and pulled the trees with precision..... of course I need some fresh branches for the chipper....

This tractor is, by far, the most fantastic tool I've ever had.

Nice tractor ! Dou you have some issue since you have it ? I search to buy one like your's without backhoe.
How much the fuel consumption per hour?
Do you know the high speed it can go ?
Is the tractor is simple to do the maintenance ?
Is the hydrostatic transmission is reliable and good to operate ?
