Just took delivery on new 5030 with a cab. Looks great, almost hate to use it. One problem though. The technician who delivered it had problems getting the Bradco BH back on after he took it off to show me. Seems part of the frame has two steel plates that are welded and they are slightly off center. I think it is a contributing factor but he might not have being aligning it properly. He said it had been awhile since he delivered one with a BH. Dealer says they will be out first thing in AM to take care. Minor issue but still a disappointment.

Since I was without a tractor for awhile I left my brush hog at a neighbors. I am almost embarrassed to show up to get it since I know I will never hear the end of it. I sold my JD 970 in the spring because I was too busy to use it. Told him it would be quite some time before I get another tractor. He said I would have another one by the end of the year. I told him: NO WAY. Might as well get myself prepared to spit feathers (you know, from all the crow I will have to eat).

Anyway, looking forward to the weekend to break this thing in. Wish me luck!.

BTW, I doubt the AC will be all that effective on wickedly hot day. Fortunately, not that many of them in New England.

Welcome to the 5030 club, ahh a cab, sometime I dream of a cab. Have fun and with you 5030HSTC, who cares what the neighbor will say - you have climate control and if he ribs you too much just close the window. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

........................just remember to close the door. I forgot once, caught it on a tree limb and it exploded. A new one cost about $400.00. Not bad for a big hunk of tempered safety glass.

Personally, I think there should be a "Just 5030 owners catergory". /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Given my sometimes absent mindedness I am sure I will have a similar experience. When I had my 970 a dropped a rock on one of the stabilizer pistons. Thank goodness for the stabailzer shield. That would have been an expensive repair.

I kept debating the cab. In the summer I really don't care. I like being out in the sun on a hot day and working until I am ready to drop. Somehow it makes an ICE COLD beer all the better. However, sitting on top of that thing in freezing rain and sleet is no joy.

Then again, the real deal is that the cab just looked too good to pass it up. It is one fine looking machine!

Congradulations on the new 5030. You'll love the cab. I washed my 4330 HSTC last night and I ended up spending more time cleaning windows than anything else.
My neighbors thought that I lost my mind when I showed them my new one. They rolled their eyes at the CD player, AC, tilt steering, wipers, and cruise control. Life is good!

I live right in the Ohio Valley and we very frequently get several days, or weeks, in a row of upper 90 degree weather with the humidity in the mid 70 percent range. That generally translates into a "heat index" of about 115 degrees. Running the tractor at speed for mowing, I have absolutely no problem with the A/C freezing me out. That makes the 6 hours it takes to mow my lawn much more tolerable! In your area you should have no problem keeping the cab refrigerated. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

5030,

I ended up buying my Kubota from Williams Farm Equipment in Charlotte, MI. Not only was he a few hundred cheaper but they are just 3 miles from my house and a great bunch of guys.
Before I took delivery of my L4330 HSTC they offered to let me borrow an M9000 that they had set up already with a cab and loader. I sat in the seat and it was love at first sight! What an awesome machine. I shouldn't have done that because now I want one bad. It must be a mid-life crisis. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
