Dealer delivered my new 5030 with cab a couple of weeks ago. I thought it would just be sitting around until the grass started growing but already have 25 hours on it. Got the top and tilt, Land pride 84' box scraper and brush grapple. This is a fantastic tractor. I especially love the cab. Attached are some pictures of the grapple in action along with my helper.

Mud,

That's a great looking machine! What a beauty...

Where did you get that grapple...Interesting unit. What did it cost and how much does it weigh?

Thanks for the kind remarks.
Jim the brush grapple is made by WR long http://www.wrlonginc.com/
Weighs 665# and cost $2558 including a toggle switch on the FEL joystick - got it with quick attach - works great

Very Nice. Remember, the manual also mentions this, you can cut down the bucket level indicator rod. I figure it has less chance of getting caught by a branch. Pay attention to those branches. I lost track and had one come up the side between the loader arm and hood and make a small dent. I'm envious of the grapple. The 84' (84 foot) box scraper should be a bit of an issue. How did you ever find one that long... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yep, after my twisted level indicator on the 3830, I'll cut back the new one.

That grapple should provide a nice clear path for your tractor. It's a good size grapple for a 50hp tractor. Not too light or too heavy. The really HD ones can be a problem for CUTs (800+ lbs). -Mud, I take it that's a 66" grapple....

The only gashes and dings on my machines have been from branches and sticks. Last week I had one shoot up into the HST pedal and was forcing the machine in reverse. I had to turn the key off to kill the engine. It was like a ghost was controlling the machine, and the further it went in reverse, the harder the stick pushed on the pedal. Darn good thing nobody was behind me.

Nice tractor! The amount of brush that you can move with that set-up is impressive,

Very nice machine! I like the grapple. Looks like you can easily move lots of brush and logs with it.
