During a visit to my Deere dealer the owner mentioned to me a new 5G series narrow configuration tractors. After taking a look online I've come to the conclusion that it appears Deere is finally making a versatile orchard/vineyard tractor that has most of the features that the European tractors(Fendt, Claas, Deutz Fahr, others) have. They may have done one better on the inside cab size. The hydraulic controls(joystick option) and SCV hookup placements(rear & mid) are spot on for front implements. I came close to buying a Deere 5EN series and a Deutz Fahr narrow but instead kicked the can down the road and bought a used narrow Landini,.... which has been terrific. At this point I shall see how these new 5G narrows perform and put it on my Santa list.
