"New" '67 135

I posted previously that I was looking at a 135 Delux...went and got it yesterday..also bought the 6ft LandPride finish mower that was hooked to it...got it all for $4800. Everything "seems" to be as it should be (for a 44 year old tractor). PS: I noted in all the service manuals/op manuals (He gave me about 7 of them) that the trns/hyd fluid is a special MF fluid...is this stuff supposed to be mineral oil in this unit? BobG in Va

I don't think so. The universal hydraulic fluid at Tractor Supply meets the MF M-1129 spec that's called out in the operator's manual

BTW: that's a nice looking 135. Congrats. Price you paid was also good.

Whew...I grew up with a Ford 8n that used the Ford Hyd fluid, and wondered if the Massey stuff was just like it....thanks for the info..I've got some of the Traveler stuff somewhere that I use in the 6000 Mahindra...I bought this for a brush hog tractor that I can throw up on the trailer and go..right now I have the "post hole digger" on it to see how it fits..I also grew up with blisters/calluses due to the "manual" style post hole diggers...never again..BobG in VA

I use the TSC Traveller fluid in my 2008 Mahindra 5525 since it satisfies the JD 303 spec (which is one of the specs Mahindra calls out in the operator's manual). According to my Mahindra dealer, these larger gear tranny utility tractors are not as picky about the exact chemistry of the hydraulic fluid like the smaller CUTs are, especially CUTs with hydrostatic trannies.

Nice looking tractor.....I have two of them and love um both. Easy to get parts and so wonderfully reliable. The Perkins engines are the best made for a small tractor ever.
