Farmtrac 675DTC/Kubota B7800/BCS 2Wheel with ACME 6.5hp
Hello all
Traded my 5 month old(50hrs) Montana 4940 in on a new 675 dtc. Don't get me wrong, I liked the 4940 alot, but needed bigger tractor due to larger property and change of plans. Paid 21k for 4940 and got 19.5k on trade in from the same dealer who I bought it from, who just happens to be a Farmtrac dealer also. 675dtc with loader and 10' twin spindle hd woods cutter w/hyd. lift & chains was 34k. I felt pretty good about the deal, plus I like the people at the dealership too.

I liked the Montana, ran smooth and fairly quiet. A couple of warranty issues were handled prompt and fixed. I would not recommend against buying one.

I'll be using the 675 for land improvements/cleanup, maintaning an expanding pecan orchard and maybe in a couple of years bailing 40 ac. of B-Dahl bluestem. Anybody here bailing with a 665/675?

Delivery is set for Thursday.

I don't have the 675 DTC but I do have the 80 which is now the 675-2wd.

I think you'll be well pleased. The tractor is strong with just 2wd. I've never hooked the baler to mine. I have a 97-Long 2610 I have all wired up for the baler and just haven't changed the FT 80 over. I do pull a JD 820 Moco with it and rake with a rotary rake.

I use the loader a lot. Last year I got into the wood fly ash deal here. Spread 220 tons of that and loaded it all with that tractor. Getting 400 tons this time. Got 120 on the ground in a pile right now so it won't be long before spreading will begin. Hope to get 65-70 tons of chicken litter also. It'll all be loaded in the hopper with the FT 80.

I ordered my fertilizer in bags this year. (why?long story) I added pallet forks on the loader last year, so I use it to move the 2,500-2,600 pound pallets off the truck and under a shed. 17 tons of that.

I really like the loader with the long reach. Here we have timber around just about every pasture and hay field. When a tree gets blown down or just fall that loader and forks makes quick work in cleaning up. No problem to pick up a 35-40 ft. cedar tree, limbs and all. I've moved some pine that was close to 45 ft. The loader will reach over a fence easily.

We're in a major drought here. Like about 1/3 of the nation I guess. So I'm feeding cows just like winter now. I had to buy hay and got 6x6 rolls put up with a JD baler. 1 ton rolls. The tractor does a good job with those rolls. So far I've hauled in 100 rolls and fed 29 of them. But no problem with the larger rolls at all.

And last but not least, that Perkins engine. We ran MF 135's,MF 150's and MF 165's here for close to 30 years. I just like Perkins engines.

Hope your new tractor works as well for you as mine has for me. I think you'll be pleased.
