Where do I begin.....
As if 2 dawgs isn't enough, we added one more to the mix this past weekend. Here's Nikki, our 8 week old Papillon. She's a real sweety. Already "daddy's girl", I can't do anything that she isn't shadowing me. They're just about the most intelligent dogs I've ever ran on to. This one isn't intimidated by our 4 year old Papillon OR our 5 year old German Shepard. In fact, she's currently mauling the other Papillon underneath my computer table. High energy, quite agile, very athletic, affectionate, and sure draws the ladies! (Much to my wifes shagrin) And she's already stole my heart! (Dogs'll do that you know!)

You expect us to believe that that is a real dog? It looks like a small plush toy.

Can you post a picture of your older one? A side-by-side would give us a sense on how much the ears grow. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We've rescued a few papillions. They are fiesty and fast little dogs. Real personable in my experience.

Well, that "stuffed animal" decided to keep me awake most of last night. She's sleeping all day and rarin' to go all night. The ears will start to stand up straight around 6 months old. Their ears don't get a lot bigger, but they get "fringe" hair that makes 'em look bigger. I'll try to get a shot of both of them tonight.

My wife is spoiling this one already. I'd never do a thing like that myself. (Disregard flashing sarcasm light)

That sure is a cute little pup. At 8 weeks old, how much does she weigh? I had decided I didn't want a dog again, but my wife decided differently. So this Chihuahua was one pound ten ounces when we got her at 12 weeks of age two months ago. In the past 2 months, she's grown to 4 pounds one ounce.

And being a lousy photographer, I sure made her eyes look funny. More natural in this picture.

typing one handed, nikki is asleep in my left hand. she went to see the vet this morning for her last puppy shot. she hit the scales at a whopping 2lbs, 6 oz. most of that is fur.

yours has a proud look on its face.

i want to get a picture of nikki with our 4 year old papillon, but im stuck playing momma right now. i have the 4 year old on my lap too. reminds me of when the kids were little.

Dee is not a "lap" dog. I don't know why she doesn't want to just sit or lay in anyone's lap. Most of the time she's a bundle of energy. She wants up in my lap to play fight, but when she gets tired, she still wants to climb up to rest or sleep the same place she did the first week we had her.

Hi Bird, I guess Dee is more of a shoulder dog kinda like a parrot on a "Pirate" /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Argh!
